Coin Master refusing to load, freezing on the logo screen, or crashing mid-game is one of the most frustrating things that can happen — especially when you have a spin event running. Most issues have a simple fix. Work through the steps below in order.

Step 1: Check Your Internet Connection

Coin Master is an online game and requires a stable connection at all times. A weak or intermittent signal is the most common cause of loading failures and mid-game crashes.

  • Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi, or vice versa
  • Move closer to your router if on Wi-Fi
  • Open a browser and load a webpage to confirm the connection is working
  • Restart your router if other devices are also struggling

Step 2: Restart the App

Force-close Coin Master completely (don't just minimise it) and reopen it.

  • iOS: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, find Coin Master, swipe it up to close
  • Android: Open recent apps, swipe Coin Master away, or go to Settings → Apps → Coin Master → Force Stop

Step 3: Update the App

Running an outdated version of Coin Master frequently causes loading issues and crashes. Moon Active regularly pushes updates — if your version is behind, the servers may refuse the connection.

  • Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
  • Search for Coin Master and check if an update is available
  • Install any pending update and relaunch

Step 4: Restart Your Device

A full device restart clears memory and resolves many temporary software conflicts that cause crashes. This takes less than a minute and fixes a surprising number of app issues.

Step 5: Check Coin Master Server Status

Sometimes the problem is on Moon Active's end, not yours. Server outages affect all players simultaneously and there's nothing you can do except wait.

  • Search Twitter/X for "Coin Master down" or "Coin Master not working" to see if others are reporting the same issue
  • Check the official Coin Master Facebook page for any maintenance announcements
  • If it's a server issue, it typically resolves within a few hours

Step 6: Clear the App Cache (Android)

Corrupted cached data can cause persistent crashes on Android devices.

  1. Go to Settings → Apps → Coin Master
  2. Tap "Storage"
  3. Tap "Clear Cache" (not "Clear Data" — that removes your progress if not linked)
  4. Relaunch the app

iOS doesn't have a manual cache clearing option, but reinstalling achieves the same effect.

Step 7: Free Up Storage Space

If your device has very little free storage, apps struggle to load or crash frequently. Check your available storage and delete unused apps, photos, or videos if you're low. Coin Master recommends at least a few hundred MB of free space.

Step 8: Reinstall Coin Master

If nothing else works, uninstall and reinstall the app. Before doing this, ensure your account is linked to Facebook or has a Moon Active account — otherwise you risk losing your progress permanently (see our Lost Account guide).

After reinstalling, log in with your Facebook or Moon Active credentials and your progress will be restored.

Step 9: Contact Moon Active Support

If the issue persists after all of the above:

  1. Open Coin Master (if possible) → Settings (gear icon) → Help & Support
  2. Or visit Moon Active's support page directly from a browser
  3. Describe the exact issue, your device model, OS version, and app version

Common Specific Issues

Stuck on Loading Screen

Usually a connection issue or server problem. Try steps 1–2 first, then check server status.

Black Screen After Opening

Often a memory or cache issue on Android. Force stop the app, clear the cache (Step 6), and relaunch. If it persists, restart your device.

Keeps Crashing Mid-Game

Close background apps to free RAM, free up storage space (Step 7), and update the app (Step 3).

Game Works But Daily Links Don't Open

This is separate from a loading issue — see our dedicated guide: Why Your Coin Master Link Isn't Working.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I lose my progress if the game crashes?

No — Coin Master saves progress to the server continuously. A crash doesn't roll back your village, coins, or spins. Any spins that were mid-animation when the crash happened may not be counted, but your core progress is safe.

My game was working fine yesterday — why did it stop?

The most common overnight causes are an automatic app update that introduced a bug, a Moon Active server change, or an OS update that created a compatibility issue. Check for app updates first, then server status.
