Coin Master runs events almost continuously — some last an hour, others run for days. Knowing what each event does, when they typically appear, and how to prepare for them is the difference between grinding slowly and making huge progress in short bursts. This guide covers every recurring event type and how to play each one optimally.

How Coin Master Events Work

Events are time-limited challenges displayed on the in-game event banner. They run alongside normal gameplay — you don't enter a separate mode. Most reward you with bonus spins, coins, XP, or chests for hitting milestones during the event window. Some events stack, meaning two or three can run simultaneously.

Moon Active doesn't publish a fixed schedule, but certain events recur predictably. Staying active in the community means you'll hear about upcoming events before they go live.

Spin Events

Coin Master (Coin Multiplier)

The most impactful recurring event. All coin rewards from spins are multiplied — typically 2×, 3×, or occasionally 5×. This is when you should spend your stockpiled spins. A 3× coin event combined with a 2× bet gives 6× your normal coin output per spin. See our Spend or Save Spins guide for the full strategy.

Attack Madness

Bonus coins are awarded for every attack you perform during the event window. Activating Tiger pet (which multiplies attack coins) during Attack Madness stacks the bonuses significantly. Have your attack targets lined up — friends with large coin balances — before the event starts.

Raid Madness

Similar to Attack Madness but for raids. Every successful raid gives bonus coins on top of the normal dig rewards. Pair with Foxy pet for maximum raid value — Foxy's extra dig during Raid Madness is extremely powerful.

Spin Madness / Bet Blast

Rewards milestone spin counts — e.g., spin 100 times to earn a prize. The prizes are usually spins, coins, or chests. These events encourage spending your stockpile and reward volume spinners. Best played during a coin multiplier event if the two overlap.

Card Events

Card Boom

All chests yield more cards than normal. The single best time to buy magical chests for card hunting. Save coins specifically for Card Boom windows and spend aggressively on magical chests when it fires. See our full Chest Guide.

Gold Card Trade Event

The in-game gold card trade button unlocks for a limited window, typically 24–48 hours. This is the only time gold cards can be exchanged between players. Prepare your trade list in advance — see our Gold Cards guide and trading groups guide.

Village Events

Village Master

Rewards players who complete the most villages during the event period. Top finishers earn large spin bonuses. See our Village Master guide for a full breakdown of how to rank competitively.

Balloon Frenzy

Balloons appear during gameplay that you can pop to earn prizes including coins, spins, and pet XP. The prizes improve the more you play during the event window.

Special Events

Viking Quest

A multi-stage event where you spin a dedicated wheel to progress through levels and win prizes. The best rewards are in the later stages, so entering with a solid spin stockpile is essential. See our full Viking Quest guide.

Beat the Beast

A community event where all players contribute to defeating a giant monster. Individual contributions earn personal prizes while the community milestone unlocks global rewards. See our Beat the Beast guide.

Tournaments (Attack / Raid / Spin)

Competitive leaderboard events where the top N players win spin rewards. Attack tournaments reward total attack coins stolen, raid tournaments reward coins from digs, spin tournaments reward total spins used. These typically run over 24–48 hours.

How to Prepare for Events

  • Stockpile spins — keep 300–500 saved for multiplier and spin events
  • Stockpile coins — save for Card Boom to buy magical chests in bulk
  • Upgrade pets — Foxy for raids, Tiger for attacks, charged before events start
  • Join trading communities — get advance notice and ready-made trade partners for gold card events
  • Check event stacking — when a coin multiplier and attack madness run together, it's a prime time to spin heavily

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do events run?

Coin Master almost always has at least one event active. Major events like coin multipliers run roughly every 1–2 weeks. Gold card trade events happen every few weeks to monthly.

Are event rewards worth stopping normal play for?

Yes — especially coin multiplier events. Playing outside events and then spinning heavily during a 3× event is far more efficient than a steady daily grind.

Can I participate in multiple events at once?

Yes. Events run in parallel. If a coin multiplier, attack madness, and spin milestone event all overlap, your spins earn multiplied coins, attack bonuses, and milestone progress simultaneously.
