Pets are one of the most impactful systems in Coin Master that many players underutilise. Activating the right pet before a spin session can dramatically increase your coin earnings and village protection. Here's everything you need to know about all three pets.
How Do Pets Work in Coin Master?
You unlock pets by collecting their card sets. Once unlocked, you can activate one pet at a time before spinning. An active pet applies its bonus to every eligible spin result during a 4-hour active window. After 4 hours the pet goes to sleep and must be fed with XP potions to reactivate.
How Do You Level Up Pets?
Each pet has a level that determines how powerful its bonus is. You level up a pet by feeding it XP potions — small, medium, and large. Potions are earned from events, card chests, and daily rewards.
Foxy — The Raid Pet
Ability: Gives you an extra (4th) dig spot during every raid.
Best used when: Coin farming via raids, especially at high bet
multipliers.
Foxy is widely considered the most valuable pet for generating coins. A 4th dig spot increases expected raid earnings by roughly 33%. At max bet with Foxy active, a single raid session can produce hundreds of millions of coins.
Tiger — The Attack Pet
Ability: Multiplies the coin reward from every successful attack.
Best used when: Completing attack-heavy events or farming coins
through attacks.
Tiger's bonus scales with pet level — a high-level Tiger can multiply attack earnings by 2× or more. If you're working through a "Raid Madness" or "Attack Madness" event that rewards attacks specifically, Tiger is the right choice.
Rhino — The Defence Pet
Ability: Has a percentage chance to block an incoming attack,
even without a shield.
Best used when: Your village is expensive to repair and you're
running low on shields.
Rhino's block chance starts low at early levels but becomes meaningfully reliable at higher levels. At max level Rhino blocks a significant proportion of attacks. It's the only passive defence in the game outside of shields.
Which Pet Should You Use?
- Farming coins → Foxy
- Attack events → Tiger
- Protecting an expensive village → Rhino
- General spinning with no specific goal → Foxy (coins are always useful)
Can You Switch Pets Mid-Session?
Yes, but switching resets the 4-hour timer on the new pet. You don't lose the previous pet's remaining active time — it pauses when inactive. Only one pet can be active at a time.
Do Pets Work During Events?
Yes. Pet bonuses apply to all spins regardless of whether an event is active. Combining the right pet with the right event multiplier (e.g. Foxy during a Raid Madness event) is one of the highest-yield strategies in the game.
