Raids are one of the most rewarding actions in Coin Master. Landing the right symbols on the slot machine lets you dig directly into another player's coin mine — potentially walking away with a huge payout. Here's how raids work in full detail.
What Happens During a Raid?
When you land three pig symbols on the slot machine, you enter Raid mode. The game randomly selects a target player (usually a Facebook friend, or a random player if you have no friends connected). You're shown their mine — a field of digging spots — and you get to choose 3 spots to dig. Each spot may contain coins or nothing at all.
How Much Can You Win From a Raid?
Raid winnings scale with your current bet multiplier. At 1× bet the payout is modest; at 10× bet a single raid can reward tens of millions of coins. The amount in each digging spot is determined by the target player's coin total and the game's RNG.
Does the Target Player Lose Coins When You Raid Them?
Yes — coins you dig up come directly out of the target player's stash. This is why keeping your coins in buildings (by upgrading your village) rather than sitting in your coin total is a smart strategy.
Can You Protect Yourself From Being Raided?
Unlike attacks, shields do not protect against raids. The only protection is to spend your coins quickly — upgraded buildings cannot be raided. Coins sitting unspent in your total are always vulnerable.
What is a "Foxy Raid"?
Activating the Foxy pet before spinning gives you a 4th dig during every raid. This significantly increases the expected payout per raid and makes Foxy the most valuable pet to use when coin farming.
What Does "Raid a Village" Mean in Events?
Several Coin Master events set tasks like "Raid 5 villages" or "Collect X coins from raids." Each time you successfully complete a raid (regardless of how many coins you find), it counts as one raid toward these objectives.
Can You Raid the Same Player Twice?
Yes. The game can select the same player multiple times in a row, especially if your friends list is small. To increase variety, add more Coin Master players on Facebook.
Should You Always Use Max Bet When Raiding?
If your goal is coin farming, yes — higher bets multiply raid rewards significantly. However, max bet also drains your spins faster, so it's a trade-off between coin yield and spin longevity.
